Time Out #67

Hello there,

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Most people are aware of Breast cancer, many forget to take the steps needed to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. If you are not sure how to do a self-exam then click here and then tell your family and friends!

At Time Out our challenge is to remind you all to do this and help spread this important message. CAS-ual Fridays stamps are sponsoring us in helping to do this. Many of you know that on the 17th of each month CAS-ual Fridays run a blog hop in an effort to support Breast Cancer awareness all year around. To find out more about this and October's events at CAS-ual Fridays, check out this link- Calling All Sistahs

To help spread the word at Time Out we have a special challenge for you:

Theme of Breast Cancer Awareness and/or Friendship
with the optional twist of embossing and/or use pink.

The winner of this challenge will get a $25 CAS-ual Friday gift voucher.
We will also do a random draw for all those who twist with us. The winner of this draw will get a special package from the CAS-ual Friday Calling All Sistahs collection-this stamp set was designed to promote breast cancer awareness.

Here is the card I made using stamps and dies from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and I went with out twist.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Conil. I have for a long time admired her creativity and urge you to pop over to her blog Which Craft and find out for yourself.

Then visit Time Out to see what Conil and the DT have made to inspire you to play along.

Have fun x

Joy To The World

Hi All,

I don't usually post twice in one day but I just had a little play and wanted to share my card with you.

Earlier this week I saw a few cards posted for the latest Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge-water colour spritz. I decided I would make a Christmas themed sheet of card using red and green brushos and the spritzed with gold perfect pearls. To be honest this has sat on my craft desk all week until today I die cut lots of Xmas goodies from this one sheet-lots of different baubles and sentiments. It is amazing how much you can make from just one sheet of brushos!

Here I used the sheet to die cut my 'Joy' and followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

AAA Cards #74 Masking

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at AAA Cards

Our challenge is:

Her is my card:

This card I made for a very dear friend who I knew needed to be reminded to believe in her dreams and remember that whatever she did she would shine!

I made it a while ago but wasn't that happy with it but am hoping the thought behind it helps her over look this!

I also wanted to use my watercolouring masking paste that hasn't been used for a while plus some actual water colour paints (not brushos!). I used paste to mask off a rough area. I then watered this area and added a mix of water colour paints. Left this to dry over night and then heat embossed the sentiment. You can't see from the photo but each letter of the sentiment is covered in make it shine!

We are sponsored by Stampendous

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Rahmat-check out her blog here I have followed Rahmat for a long time now and adore her creativity from cards to cooking!

Check out what Rahmat and the DT have made to inspire you here and then get masking!

Inkspirational #118

Happy Weekend my crafty friends,

At Inkspirational our challenge is our 'prompt word' challenge and the word is:

Here is my take on this word:

I went with the texture and colours of glamour as I see them. I have always thought purple, teal and gold as glamorous. I embossed the doily stamp in gold and then went to work with the brushos mixing the purple and teal. I really didn't know how it would turn out. I didn't like the splotches of deep purple at first but after leaving it to try over night decided they looked great. You really do need to leave those brushos to dry over night to see what they look like in the end!

I liked the background so much I didn't want to cover it with a sentiment strip so used deliacta gold ink and vellum.

Our Guest Designer is my fellow teamie and friend, Joyce, at Time Out Challenges. I know many of you know her but her creativity really does bloom-take a her blog Cards-by-the-Sea and you will come away inspired.

Then pop back to Inkspirational to see what Joyce and the DT have made to inspire you x

Hi All

I have a card today that I made for a few challenges:

A one layer CAS card that I really do like!
This clock really does look vintage but I decided I wanted to make it a bright colour and went hunting for a challenge to suit this-found a new to me challenge that looks a lot of fun The Heart Desires-check it out.

It was inspired by:

The Heart Desires Challenge-I used the colours and photo-my clock reminds me of the sun flowers and I chose 2 of the colours.

I am also going to use this card as my entry to:

Have a fun day x
