Inkspirational #151

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational and it is our Designer's choice and it is my turn to choose.

I went for my favourite card making-no fuss just plain old:

Stamping Only-that is just ink and stamps...no adding dies but layers allowed!

This card went was made especially for my dear cousin and friend Lynn. It was for her Birthday back in November. I made this with all the elemnets that I know Lynn (and myself) love in card making. These are:

-Just Stamping
-Clean and Simple
-one layer
-the position of the image and sentiment-one of our favs
-bright and sunny colours-I am nearly sure that these colours are Lynn's fav. I love them too but my fav colours for card making are purple and yellow combo!

I hope I got all these elements right Lynn and you are a sassy, classy and bad assy girl and I love you!

The sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays and the watermark stamp from PTI

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Laurie-her blog Stamping Up North With Laurie is full of creative and inspiring projects-take a look around and you will see what I mean!

I really hope you get some time to join in and remember...it is just stamps and ink so can be a real quick card to make.

Our DT have all made super cards-check them out here, then get inky x

I will enter this into:

CASology-Kindness-this went to my very, very dear cousin and the words are fun but also I would like someone to say this to me....kind words and would make me feel special-hope they did you Lynn....because you are!

A Kind Word

Hello,

As soon as I saw the 'Kindness' challenge at CASology I knew I had the perfect sentiment stamp for this. It is from the Verve called 'New Beginnings'

I apologise for the photo but it is so dull here in London, this was the best I could do after many attempts!

It was fun to make a bright Spring card after all the Winter cards!

The flower stamp and die is also from Verve called 'Bloom Brighter'.

I used some scrap water coloured card I had made a while ago and just die cut it using my new Fishtail dies from My Favourite Things.

I know this card looks really simple and you would have thought it took me just a few minutes to make. Oh no...I couldn't get anything to go right-the design, the colours and we won't even go to the trouble of how to place the enamel dots. I can't believe I actually persevered and finished it, not like me really. Still in the end I like the fresh and sunny feel to this card.

I hope you all have a good day x

My Last Christmas Card!

Hi All

Today I have my last Christmas card for 2017!

It is for my husband and I have been thinking for ages what to make for him but a few challenges helped me with this.

Here it is:

I went with the 'Dreaming of a White Christmas' at CAS-ual Fridays. I love white on white cards and using texture is the key to this I think.

I used the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch for my layout.

The sentiment and tag die are both from CAS-ual Fridays. The heart die is cut from sparkle fun foam.

I will also enter this into the 'sparkle' challenge at Addicted to CAS

Enjoy your day x

Inksiprational #150

Hi All

A new challenge starts today at Inkspirational and this time it is our word prompt challenge and the word is:

Gift

I thought this sentiment from Verve was perfect for this challenge:

I made another bauble card using my Nativity Die from Penny Black. This time using glitter card to back the bauble and cut the die from glitter card also. I used some clear acetate to make it look more like a real bauble.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Valentyna. Her blog is full of creative and inspiring projects. Take a look here and you will see what I mean.

All the DT have made amazing projects to inspire you to join in.

Have A Beautiful Day!

Hi There,

Popping in to wish you all a Beautiful Day with this card I made for you all!

I love using grey in card making and so the 'grey' challenge at CASology was perfect for me.

This flower from Altenew is heat embossed on a brusho sheet from my stash and then die cut. I popped it up on some foam pads for dimension. Then heat embossed the Altenew sentiment onto the grey stitched base.

The latest Altenew challenge is to choose a previous month's inspiration. I went with the September photo using the grey background, the purple flowers and the blue of the jug.

Rejoice in The Season

Hello There,

I hope you are all having a fun weekend?

I have been wanting to enter the 'round' challenge at CASology all week and finally got to make the card that came into my head as soon as I saw the challenge.

Here it is:

Pretty easy to see all my round elements here!
The Nativity scene is actually cut from glitter card but it is hard to show that at the moment as it is very dull here in London!

The die is from Penny Black and the sentiment from Uniko

Enjoy the rest of your day.

I will also enter this into:

Inkspirational #149

Hi All

A new photo challenge starts at Inkspirational today.

The dies and sentiment are all from My Favourite Things.

And here is the photo:

Pretty easy to see what inspired me here!

I actually made this card way back in August for my Brother's 50th...he enjoys a glass of wine!
The cork here is actually real cork with a sticky back given to me a while ago by Loll and I hand wrote '50 today'

The team have all been inspired in amazing ways by this photo.
Take a look here and then get inky.

Enjoy x
