Turn Back Time!

Hi All

I saw the challenge 'Late' at CASology this week and had no ideas for it. I tend to be a planner and knew I would hardly ever need a 'belated' Birthday card and this was all I could think off. Then I remembered a sentiment I had from Visible Images and thought it would be perfect-see what you think and where my thinking was going!

Got it??

This is for my husband. We met late quite late in life. I was heading towards 40 (he is a little younger-yes, my toy boy!!). And I think this sentiment sums us up. I wish we hadn't met so late so I could love him longer.

I have used this sentiment with this image before-usually one layer- so struggled to design it differently than before but played around a bit and managed to get a lot of dimension and instead of stamping the image I heat embossed it onto kraft. Usually I use a white card base and brighter colours for this image and sentiment combo. I feel I did end up stretching my design skills a bit...I so wanted to just 'stamp and go' but I preserved!

I was helped along by the sketch at CAS Colour and Sketches-I had intended to add a little heart where there is a small banner in the sketch but decided I liked it just the way it is.

Have a good day x

Inkspirational #153

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational. It is our word prompt challenge and the word is:

Attachment.

I made a Christmas decoration that was attached to my Christmas Tree last year.

Yes, it is not the best but I wanted to make a decoration myself-I had a go and yes I did hang it!!

I die cut this Uniko snowflake from glitter card and stuck it to a die cut circle and just added some ribbon.

Here it is on my tree:

It was fun to make this. Although not my best work, I thought it suited our word and sometimes, why not share our 'not so good' projects!

I am sure the DT have done a better job than me-check them out here and then get inky!

My CAS loving Heart!

Hi There,

I hope you all had a great weekend.

Popping in to show you a card I made inspired by a few challenges.

Here it is:

I based the lay out on the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I knew I wanted to use this sketch and had the idea for this card in my head for a while. I have a few heart stamps and wasn't sure what one to use until I saw the pretty picture at Inspired by All The Little Things-I liked the soft pink and green and the patterns on the cookies. So I went with this heart as I thought the pattern suited the picture. I added the 2 different pinks and a green enamel dot to reflect the colours in the picture.

Love!

Hi All

Quick pop in to share a card I made yesterday.

I wanted to make a card for the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge. These I find a real challenge as they are quite layered. But I wanted to give it a go as best I could making my, kinda, CAS version! When I saw the amazing photo at Addicted to Stamps and More and idea popped into my head. This card took me ages to make but I quite like the finishing touches.

This gorgeous sentiment is from Verve. I used a sriped border stamp from Winnie and Walter gold embossing it on the black card. I then used the same stamp inky it onto white card and die cut it with stitched dies from Lil'Inkers. Tag is from CAS-ual Fridays

I think you can see how the photo inspired me!
I will also enter this into AAA Card Challenge-Quote-gotta love this quote-hopefully hubby will too!! (thanks

Calling All Sistahs Jan Reminder

Hi There,

I am very excited to tell you that I have joined the amazing Design Team at Calling All Sistahs.
I am honoured to be part of this creative bunch of crafters-thank you for asking me to join you.

As it is my first time on this team, I will tell you a little about it before my card:

Calling All Sistahs is all about raising the awareness of Breast Cancer throughout the year

We will be here every month with a reminder to do those breast self exams. It takes 5 mins to do! If you are not sure how to do this then check out this link.

Michele, owner and designer of CAS-ual Friday Stamps designed a special line of stamps and dies to help raise awareness of Breast Cancer-you can check them out here. Michele donates 50% of the profit from these to National Breast Cancer Awareness.

If you want anymore information on this please just email me at sandiesandie16@gmail.com

Now for my card:

I have used the stamp from Word Ribbon. The sentiment is from the stamp set Mon Ami and the baby tag is from the Fri-Die set Tag Bundles

All our Design Team have made amazing cards-check them out here.

We would love you to go shopping from this range to help us raise awareness of Breast Cancer and if you do and use the code 'cas comfort' you get a discount!

Come back tomorrow as I will be here with our monthly 'Calling All Sistahs' challenge!!

Have a super day and don't forget to put 5 mins aside to do that self exam!

I will enter this into:

Less is More-Purple-my little ribbon, enamel dots and strip of purple(....card 2 Nonni-challenge you set me done!)
CASology-Glimmer-I am using this in the terms of 'glimmer of hope'. Some may feel when they get the diagnosis of cancer that there is no hope but there is always hope and even if it is a late diagnosis there is always a glimmer of hope and increasingly so with all the research that has been done. Plus if you do your regular monthly breast chest- that we are here to remind you about-then that glimmer becomes a bright shining light.

Inkspirational #152

Hello

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational.

This time it is our photo challenge.

Here is my card:

And the photo:

This photo just spoke texture and frills to me and I wanted to make something that was way out of my comfort zone. So out came the lace, doilies and a pretty embossing plate.

The sentiment here is from Verve and the tag from CAS-ual Fridays. I used a scrap of water colour card to cut the tag and stamp the sentiment.

This card was made especially for teamie and friend Shauna for her Birthday. She often uses ribbons and texture on her cards....although recently I have noticed more water colouring and CAS designs sneaking in. Basically she is very creative and can make cards of all styles. I wanted to try to make something for her that was different than my normal style.

Actually in the end I was happy with how it turned out.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the talented Charlotte-check out her blog here. It is full of amazing projects.

Then pop over to Inkspirational and see what the DT have created using this photo as their inspiration.

Have fun x

Choose Happy!

A very Happy Sunday,

My dear friend Nonni set me a challenge yesterday to make 2/3 cards for the latest challenge at Less is More. Well I have 2 made already Nonni!!

Here is my first card:

I wanted to use this grunge stamp because Nonni gave it to me!!

I simply stamped this grunge stamp using purple ink and then over stamped with this sentiment from STAMPlorations-first time it has been inked up.

I used 3 different shades of purple enamel dots just to make the point......I love purple in all shades!!

This sentiment really hit home to me as sometimes it is really hard to 'choose happy' when things are feeling tough. I am sending this off to a friend for some encouragement but have decided to make myself a postcard version of this and stick it onto my craft board so that on those tough days, it reminds me to 'choose happy'!!

So friends...lets 'choose happy' today!!

I am going to enter this into:

Less is More-purple
AAA-Quote-a new sentiment stamp plus a new way to encourage myself on the tough days!

Time to Encourage!

Hello,

We all need a little encouragement now and then! And I think this sentiment is just perfect to encourage someone to just take that one little step to get nearer to what it is they really want or dream about.

I have made this card large so you can really see the sentiment.

The sentiment comes from a set my dear friend Nonni gave me a while ago.
The green background stamp is the Modern Petals stamps from CAS-ual Fridays

I took inspiration from the latest Calling All Sistahs Encouragement challenge photo using the red and green and the petals as inspiration-as well as making an encouragement card for a friend-still time to join in this challenge and goodies to be won!

The layout is from the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches

Happy New Year!

A very Happy New Year to you All,

My first card for 2018!

These stamps are all from The Ton. The stars are actually stamped in delecata ink which sparkes IRL and my enamel dots also sparkle. A little dull here in London so it was hard to catch this.

The layout I used was inspired by the sketch at Less is More

Have a wonderful day today and enjoy the first day of 2018!

I will enter this into:

The Ton-cheers, my card is being sent to a friend for her Birthday, so cheers to her!
